I’m enjoying this conversation. It is natural (and likely healthy, from a natural selection perspective) to get excited about the prospect of having greater chances of survival today than you did yesterday. Money and value are ultimately survival tools. Being happy that your chosen tool is working as intended strikes me as a “correct” emotional response - if measured, of course.
