Hey Ben, great article. fantastic job summarizing the current state of lightning. Curious, if we were able to solve the UX issues around JIT channel fees, would that be good enough? If we could sufficiently lower the price of a opening a channel (via batching/channel factories) and fix the fee UX, do you think we’d still need another scaling protocol (ie ecash)? The lightning ux problems seem theoretically solvable, no?
