I’m totally with you, but comes down to risk (probability of permanent capital loss). With a low time preference, Bitcoin is the most asymmetric bet I’ve ever seen in terms of risk/return. It’s easy to buy bitcoin, but really hard to stomach the volatility over a period of YEARS without doing tons of work to understand what you own. My non-coiner buddies haven’t gotten to a point where they’re willing to do that work, so they make bets on shitcoins with almost 100% probability of permanent loss. IMO Bitcoin is get rich slow, but the promised land is a near certainty with diamond hands. 🤙
